The annual WISE Symposium is happening this Thursday, April 25th at Sky Armory. It is an opportunity for women to gather and hear from leading, and up and coming female entrepreneurs about starting a business, working on a side hustle, or igniting their corporate career. Organizer Nicole Samolis is President and Creative Director of SKY Armory and the Events Company and is this month’s featured female entrepreneur. The Child Victim’s Act Law just passed in New York State which changes the statute of limitations on child sexual abuse crimes to 28 in criminal cases and 50 in civil cases, which opens the door to a number of new lawsuits. Camp Kesem is a national non profit organization that provides a free summer camp and year long support system for children whose parents are touched by cancer. They have a local chapter right here in Syracuse made up of a lot of volunteers, many of them Syracuse University students.
